BYU study: Alcohol-free hand sanitizer just as effective against COVID-19 virus as alcohol-based versions
Everyone is concerned about coronavirus. We at DAB Hand Sanitizer are too. We tested our DAB formula in the lab against a government recommended surrogate coronavirus to confirm a kill time and DAB killed it within a few seconds.
Our research scientists published those results in a medical journal which can be requested on our website.
Now, even more proof has been published in an additional medical journal. Researchers ( who are independent from DAB ) at the Department of Microbiology at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, published their findings that benzalkonium chloride ( the active ingredient in DAB ) was highly effective in inactivating SARS-CoV-2 (the coronavirus that causes COVID-19) within 15 seconds, even under “dirty” conditions.
They recommended much more widespread use of benzalkonium chloride hand sanitizers because of the findings they made.
Here is the press release they put out about the article: https://www.google.com/amp/s/news.byu.edu/byu-study-alcohol-free-hand-sanitizer-just-as-effective-against-covid-19-virus-as-alcohol-based-versions%3f_amp=true
